Our Programs

What Makes Us Unique

Madera Adult School is an accredited institution that ensures the quality of our educational programs. MAS meets California state standards for education in order to prepare our students for the academic rigors of college and to build employability skills for a career. Our school is evaluated and accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association for Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC).

Madera Adult School is a proud member of the Madera Unified School District (MUSD). Our school provides academic services to the parents of children within the school district. MAS offers ESL classes to those who want to learn English at six elementary school locations (Sierra Vista, George Washington, Millview, James Monroe, Alpha, and Lincoln). Our high school diploma program is aligned with and meets the graduation requirements for the MUSD’s secondary education programs.

Madera Adult School is a member of the State Center Adult Education Consortium. This organization is a state-wide association that brings together California’s adult schools, colleges, and other community partners to provide academic and career services. MAS is an active participant in the consortium’s efforts is to prepare and provide opportunities for individuals to enter the workforce as well as to align adult education with college curricula.
