Welcome to Madera Adult School!
I am thrilled for the opportunity to continue my teaching career at Madera Adult School. Teaching is my passion, as I taught for over 38 years before retiring from the classroom in 2018. I have been fortunate to have experienced a rewarding teaching career.
I was raised in the Merced area, where I attended the local elementary and high schools. I began my post-secondary education attending Merced Junior college, California State University, Fresno, Fresno Pacific University, RIT, and various other educational institutions throughout my over 38 years in education.
My career in the classroom began in 1981, teaching woodworking, drafting, and art, as well as mathematics, AVID, and many other subjects. My teaching experience ranges from teaching middle school and high school as well as adult students, and I am now enjoying teaching adult classes that include ESL and Hi SET in the Madera Adult School system.
I am blessed with a great family, good health, and a wonderful place to work. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends when I am not in the classroom. I look forward to family time with my daughter and two grandkids. Auto swap meets, car shows and occasionally showing my classic truck are activities I like to participate in. I enjoy watching movies, cooking, watching Mayaire’s gardening talents, and working in the yard. I look forward to traveling, and being in my backyard is currently my favorite place.
