My name is Ana Villagomez-Salazar. I’ve been working since I was 15 years old. I started with a program Workforce had which I can’t remember the name. I have worked at different schools through out the years. My first school was Millview in the after school program which back then was called Club YES. Then I went to Lincoln elementary with the title Library Media Technician. Was there for 3 school years and then was transferred to Pershing Elementary with the position of Librarian. Again there I was for another 3 years and then was offered a position at Madera Adult. I’ve been here since 2011. I want to work at an adult school because I like to help people. We all deserve a second chance and this is the place for many of our students. No matter what the circumstances are of which they didn’t finish their education here is a place where they can accomplish that. I love to see when our students finish either their HSD or HiSET program. It makes me feel good that I was a little part of that accomplishment. I want to keep working at an Adult school to see our community get a better education.
