Madera Adult School (MAS) classes for California High School Equivalency Certificate (HiSET) are FREE for enrollment.
Our courses provide students with the instructional skills needed to pass the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). This high school equivalency credential program tests in five subject areas, which include: writing, social studies, science, language arts/reading, and math. Our campus offers classes in both English and Spanish. Classes are available in the mornings and evenings. We also offer HiSET Workforce classes in conjunction with our community partner the Workforce Assistance Center of Madera County; however, these classes are available only to Workforce clients. MAS students who are interested in becoming a Workforce Assistance client may ask for a referral from Madera Adult School staff. Our school also offers HiSET classes at the Madera County Jail in conjunction with another one of our community partners the California Department of Corrections.
Our English HiSET courses use the online software program AZTEC to assist MAS students in the classroom with their preparation for each subject test.
